Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar slammed the Trinamool administration, claiming that the biggest threat to democracy is appeasement, and urged the intellectuals of Bengal to break their silence and stop the state from violating democracy. Meanwhile, speaker Biman Banerjee attacked the governor for his comments and the Opposition BJP for disrespecting the House and not participating in the birth anniversary celebrations organized in the state.
