Man held in Bengal for woman’s death in Guwahati hotel
In Assam, police arrested a man from a hotel in Bengal after they found a woman's body with a gag in her mouth. The man, Faizuddin, had been staying at the hotel with the woman, Amisha Khatoon, before she was killed. Faizuddin has two wives in Goalpara and Tezpur in Assam. He told the police that he and the woman had an argument over money, which made him angry and he pushed her before leaving the room. Faizuddin is still denying the charge of murder.
