The Kolkata Municipal Corporation will introduce a special cleaning drive at night in the city’s prime commercial zones and in other areas where cafes and restaurants are coming up in large numbers. Before introducing this special service, owners of hotels, restaurants, eateries and cafes as well as private hospitals and nursing homes will have to submit a self-declaration form to the KMC solid waste management department, giving details of the waste generated by them.
