Health panel pat for doctors for CPR on flyover in West Bengal

Instant intervention by two doctors saved the life of a 34-year-old who had been critically injured in an accident on Maa flyover on March 6. Foetal medicine expert Kanchan Mukherjee and cardiac anaesthetist Ashok Verma, who were on their way to hospitals where they work, got stuck in the traffic jam caused by the accident. They left their respective cars and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to revive Portia Goswami, the injured.
