Dakshineswar skywalk set for repair, restoration

The Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) has taken up repair and restoration of Dakshineswar Rani Rashmoni skywalk, which will include replacing the corroded bearings, covering up the leaks, placing new tiles, repairing the pathway below the skywalk and carrying out anti-corrosive painting on the structure, at an estimated cost of Rs 2.8 crore. KMDA officials said an agency has been selected and work order has been issued.
