The Customs Department is introducing additional disclosures for the import and export of medicinal products starting from July 1, to accelerate clearances of shipments. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is mandating additional qualifiers for exports of parts of plants to reduce Customs officials' queries, which often pose problems for EXIM traders involved in medicinal plants and chemicals trading.
