Army, Assam sign pact on treatment of ex-servicemen in govt med colleges
The army signed an agreement with the Assam government to offer a contributory health scheme called ECHS at eight medical colleges and hospitals in the state. The Department of Exservicemen Welfare has approved the empanelment of government medical colleges in Assam with the ECHS. This will facilitate the cashless and capless treatment of almost 112 lakh beneficiaries.
