Recruitment Details for Assam Printing and Stationery Department

1. Senior Information & Public Relations Officer:

Number of posts: 04 (UR: 03, OBC/MOBC: 01)

Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- Grade Pay: Rs. 13,900/-

Educational Qualifications:

Applicants must be graduates in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized university. Professional or technical degrees will also be accepted.
Possession of a degree or diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication from a UGC-recognized institute is mandatory. Alternatively, candidates should have at least five years of experience in a responsible role in Journalism at a Newspaper/News/Public Relations Organization/Government Public Relations Department.
Proficiency in English is essential.
Knowledge of Assamese or any other regional or local language of the state is required.
Candidates must have knowledge of Computer Applications and should possess a minimum 6-month Diploma/Certificate in computer proficiency from a recognized government institute.

2. Junior Information & Public Relations Officer:

Number of posts: 04 (UR: 03, OBC/MOBC: 01)

Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- Grade Pay: Rs. 12,700/-

Educational Qualifications:

Applicants must be graduates in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized university. Professional or technical degrees will also be accepted.
Possession of a degree or diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication from a UGC-recognized institute is mandatory. Alternatively, candidates should have at least three years of experience in a responsible role in Journalism at a Newspaper/News/Public Relations Organization/Government Public Relations Department.
Proficiency in English is essential.
Knowledge of Assamese or any other regional or local language of the state is required.

Age Criteria:

Candidates should be at least 21 years old and not more than 38 years old as of January 1, 2023.
SC/ST candidates have an age relaxation of 5 years, i.e., up to 43 years.
OBC/MOBC candidates have an age relaxation of 3 years, i.e., up to 41 years.
Persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) have a relaxation of 10 years, irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and UR categories, as per government regulations.
