The state will celebrate 200 years of Assam Tea this year in a grand manner and to mark the event, finance minister Ajanta Neog proposed enhancement of production subsidy for orthodox and speciality tea to Rs 12 per kg for the current financial year only and extension of tax holiday on agricultural income tax for the next three years.
