AIUDF will win at least 4 LS seats: Ajmal
The Indian National Congress (INC) is the main opposition party in Assam. Aiudf Chief Badruddin Ajmal on Wednesday claimed that his party will not give up easily and win at least four out of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state. This is important because the party which won only one seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections plays a vital role in Assam politics. Lashing out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over its claim to win at least 12 seats, Ajmal said, "We will win at least four seats and Congress will win at least one seat. How could the BJP claim that it will win 12 seats?" Claiming that he will retain Dhubri parliamentary constituency he said it is the people who will decide the fate of the political leaders as well as the parties. BJP's state president Bhabesh Kalita on Tuesday while addressing the media after attending the party's state executive in Morigaon district said the party which won nine seats in the last Lok Sabha elections has focused on improving its performance with special focus on the migrant Muslimdominated areas. Ajmal's words will not work this time as people have seen the pace of development in the state they have extended support to BJP in all the elections
