Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday downplayed the risk to Indian banking system and lenders emanating from the ongoing tussle between US-based short-seller Hindenburg and Indian business tycoon Gautam Adani-led Adani Group. She also said that the Indian banking system, having gone through the twin-balance sheet problem, is today at a comfortable level with NPAs coming down to absolutely low levels, recoveries and a sound position.
